I'm pretty sure that parking a starship this close to a star in real life would be disastrous, to say nothing of parking one between two stars. What kind of gravitational stresses would be placed on it? What would the radiation barrage be like that its shielding would have to withstand lest the crew complement be cooked?

Neutron stars are uncommon, but a binary star system with a neutron star seems even more so.

There are two biological signals that end up being difficult to find and give me a small sense of dread when I see them show up when mapping a planet. One of them is the Osseus biological.
