Six hours of searching for the last two open items in the No Man's Sky Expedition 11 called Voyagers had me frustrated. I didn't want to go looking for hints online, but I was starting to feel like I was wasting my time. Sure, I was earning lots of credits and nanites on a save game that I wouldn't be using anymore after the expedition was over, but I was also burning time. Lots and lots of time.
The expedition did give me a new appreciation for the more turbulent blue stars out there, which I'd forgotten were the home of the harshest weather. I had been searching for the Unwelcome achievement there. I was also searching for the Hunter/Killer achievement.
I suspected the Hunter/Killer was somewhere along the path I had flown, but I broke down and looked online to find it was in one of the earliest star systems with a Rendezvous point, which completely made sense. Once I had the name I was able to teleport there using a station portal -- thanks to having visited every station along my route. I found the planet easily when I swung my starship around and found a base with the name "Hunter Killer" on it. Given that I started the expedition fairly quickly, I'm guessing that base wasn't there on my first trip by.
The portal coordinates for the Unwelcome world were very welcome indeed. I did have to retrace my steps to where I had activated a portal -- made possible only by having taken notes on where I had jumped to and what the coordinates of the portal were on the surface -- but once there the coordinates worked and got me what I needed to finish out the expedition and return to my normal game.
More in-game hints would have been nice for these so I wouldn't have been stuck jumping through the seemingly infinite and randomly generated cosmos. It's one thing if my earnings were going to come with me, but I don't use my expedition saves after I finish the expedition up. I go back to my primary normal game save, instead.
