I'm thoroughly enjoying Weird West: Definitive Edition by WolfEye Studios, published by Devolver Digital on the PS5. The comic book art style, sound effects reminiscent of Darkest Dungeon -- a game I've only watched but not tried to play -- and mix of play styles available is allowing me to do my favorite thing. Sneak up on bad guys and stab them in the back to kill them -- well, usually kill them if they're human, anyway.

I've learned that the game is an anthology consisting of I believe four characters, but despite stumbling across the location which will allow me to end my time with the first character if I complete it, I've turned back around and kept exploring, finding unlockables, earning cash, and otherwise learning more about the different aspects of the game with the bounty hunter.

The other characters should prove interesting changes of pace as they're not all human.

The game was included with the October 2023 set of PlayStation Plus Essential games. I recommend it.
